Divergence

Plot of ln(1z)-\ln(1-z) on 0z<10 \le z < 1. The function grows without bound as z1z \to 1, but only logarithmically, so it stays finite and gently curved across almost the whole interval and turns up steeply only in the last few percent before the pole.
